Due to the increasing insecurity and many incidents of crime against women, SC DAV Public School, Noida took a step forward in spreading awareness about female safety. 
A Self defence workshop had been arranged by the school for its fraternity in order to keep them abreast of the techniques of defence. Sensai Mussalin - a black belt holder and a high level martial arts specialist acted as the resource person along with two students of the school.
He focused on using the usual tools like pen,hair pin, purse, book, etc. So as to bog down the attacker. He along with the students demonstrated the sequence of protecting oneself in case of a sudden attack. The increasing episodes of robbery, eve - teasing and chain snatching etc have made it crucial for women to safeguard themselves. All the self defence tricks work wonders if one has presence of mind.
