With an aim to spread awareness about firecrackers causing environmental pollution and numerous health hazards, the students of Sarla Chopra DAV Public School, Sector 56, Noida, celebrated Diwali with the children of Saksham School, Nithari, Noida on 9th November 2023. The Interact Club students of the school celebrated Diwali, in its true essence, by distributing sweets, snack items, candles etc amongst the children of Saksham School. 

Diwali, a festival of lights, is also a time of sharing our happiness with others. This is the festival which aims to spread the message of universal well-being and being kind and generous to all, especially to the underprivileged. With this thought, the members of the Interact Club, urged the students to contribute whatever they could, which could be donated to the underprivileged students. 

The children of Saksham School appeared genuinely happy to receive the gifts from our school students. The students of our school, too, were happy to have contributed constructively towards the society. 

The school Principal, Mrs. Chitra Kant appreciated the efforts of these enthusiastic planet pals in showcasing their concern and generosity towards the children and in spreading awareness about the harmful effects of burning crackers on both environment and our health.

Interact Club Incharge, Ms. Geetu Sabharwal, Mrs Priya Arora, Mrs. Renu Chibber, Mrs. Rachna Singh, Interact Club and Rotary Committee President and Mrs. Tyag Rajan, a senior Rotarian were also present at the occasion and extended their warm wishes to the children.
