Sarla Chopra DAV Public School, Noida Celebrates Mental Health Week Sarla Chopra DAV Public School, Noida, is celebrating *Mental Health Week* through a series of meaningful and engaging activities aimed at promoting mental health awareness, emotional well-being and a culture of openness and support. The week commenced with a *Mental Health Awareness Rally* on the theme *“Think, Feel, Talk and Heal.”* Students enthusiastically participated in the rally, carrying thought-provoking placards and spreading awareness about anxiety, depression, stress and other emotional challenges. The rally emphasised that acknowledging one’s feelings, talking about concerns and seeking help are important steps towards emotional well-being. As part of the initiative, interactive *counselling and well-being sessions* were conducted by the Counselling and Well-being Department, for students of Grades 7 and 8 on *5th and 6th October*. The sessions focused on *“Relationship with Self and Others”* and *“Unboxing Health and Wellness.”* Several more engaging activities are planned during the week, including a *flash mob during recess* to sensitise students and staff about the role of counsellors and psychologists in promoting mental health. *Bookmark-making activities and selfie booths* will be organised for students of Grades 9 and 10, while teachers will participate in *“Reflecting the Good in Others,”* an activity encouraging appreciation, positivity and recognition of strengths in colleagues. Through these initiatives, the school continues to foster a supportive environment where mental health is understood, discussed and valued.
