"Road Safety week celebration from 11th Jan to 17th Jan,2015"  

Sarla Chopra DAV Public School, Noida Celebrated ‘Road Safety Week’ with great zeal and devotion. As it is the head of the hour. The Road Safety week was celebrated under the banner of CBSE and it was from 11th Jan to 17th Jan, 2015.
Various activities were organized in the school campus to mark the occasion. 
The activities were:-
1. Workshop
2. Group Discussion
3. Drawing Competition
4. Rally 
5. Essay/ Creative writing
6.  Nukkad Natika
A rally by the students of class VII highlighted the road safety rules. The students prepared slogans and placards to make general public aware of these rules. The general public showed great interest in the rally and got the message required.

Another event organised to mark this occasion was Creative Writing Session. The topic was “The Effects of Violation of Road Safety Rules”. The students of class VIII reflected their feelings in the creative essay and expressed themselves to the hilt. It was a good effort to sensitize the coming generation on such a relevant topic.

An informative workshop was also organised by Noida Traffic Police. The resource persons were Mr Vijay Pal Yadav ACP, Mr Krishan Yadav and Mr. Rakesh (of Noida Traffic Police). The workshop was well attended by the students of VIII and IX. Mr Vijay Pal gave valuable instructions regarding traffic rules and emphasised on wearing ISI marked helmets and also the seat belts.  The students came up with their queries and promised to follow the rules.

Besides this intersection poster competition and Nukkad Natika were organised. The topic was ‘Traffic Jam a nuisance’. In Poster Comptt. The students made catchy posters bringing home the point of Road safety. The Nukkad Natika depicted that how important it is to follow Road Safety Rules which can save so many innocent lives. The students pledged to follow these rules as they are the torch bearers of the nation.
